Martha June Makes her Poetic Debut and other Ramblings

Image
March and April have been very busy months. Just this past week, I was honored to discover that my mini-chapbook, Martha June and Me, has been selected for the Ghost City Summer Series.  I was excited to have poems published at One Art , New Verse News , and Sandy River Review , and poems forthcoming in Belle Point Press ' Sonnet Anthology, Dead Mule School of Literature,  and MacQueen's Quinterly.

Getting Ready to Travel to the ESWA Conference

Image
Up early, but not for school. Packing and tending to the house and Martha June, so I can get on the road to Maryland for the Eastern Shore Writers Association annual conference. The last face-to-face conference I attended was Pre-Covid and in Greensboro, NC. I stayed at my sister's house. Having never been to Easton, I am excited. I am also thrilled to meet in-person all my writer friends I have met through ESWA. The session I need the most, " Titles Like Blackbirds: Exploring Different Ways"  with  G. H. Mosson. My titles are always a bit weary.... hope to see some of you there.

Rat's Ass Review

Image
I am home today and Kelly is in NYC. Martha June is resting and Gigi is  upstairs. A quiet house equals time to write and update my page. I am honored to have two poems up at the Rat's Ass Review . The poems are listed alphabetical by name....and I have also posted them below this note. Please enjoy.

Yesterday was a good day for writing. My piece in  https://ofrustandglass.com/scars-poetry/ was published and then I was featured in the ESWA newsletter @ https://www.easternshorewriters.org/SpotlightWriters. It has rained nonstop here in Hampton Roads, but no snow in sight. Enjoy the first day of the month-Rabbit, Rabbit, Rabbit...
